I've only just returned from that assignment I told you about, and now I'm off to see the students in. I volunteered for transport duty, and Albus seemed more than happy to oblige me.

I must confess, I'm going to be glad to see them all again, safe and sound. Even though it is such a dark time right now, I will be glad to see them. There are so many who won't be returning, though... and even if they do, they will have been changed so much. Poor Miss Charles. Did you know her father has gone missing? Such a polite girl.

I could use your company tonight, Pomona. Would you care to join me for dinner?

This last assignment was - nevermind, we shall speak of it later, if we need to at all.

I would very much like to see you.

Pomona,

Dear Pomona,

I know that you're probably very busy right now with the greenhouses and all, but would you like to come for a visit this Saturday?

My cottage has been very lonely as of late.

This past Tuesday my brother-in-law came to visit, along with all six of his children - you would think that a four year old boy would not be able to change all the food in the house to chocolate, wouldn't you? I must say though, the chocolate was much better than the chicken and lamb I had made. Oh, Mark is going to be a handful when he arrives as Hogwarts! Perhaps I'll have retired by then, and can leave him to another Charms professor. Though, I so enjoy teaching - p,erhaps not.

Speaking of dinner, would you care to join me for some on your possible visit? I know a great recipe for chicken with a strawberry sauce that I think you would enjoy. And I also still have a lot of chocolate in the house from my nephew, as my brother wouldn't take it home with him. He said that Mark would get too excited from it all. From what I saw on Tuesday, that's not too far from the truth!

Yes, it is true. I am bribing you with chocolate. I had heard somewhere that it was a favourite of yours, but I might have been mistaken. If I am, please tell me, as I can always switch my bribe to something more appropriate.

I would be most delighted if you would deign to join me, Pomona. I look forward to speaking with you again.

Always,
Filius

I wish examinations were over – I want to return home and have a nice, relaxing cup of tea while reading all my favourite books I haven’t had a chance to read yet.

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned it during one of our many conversations, but I have quite a lovely cottage in a town near. It has a beautiful view of the nearby lake, and it almost never rains. It also has a nice garden; not nearly as nice as your own, unfortunately.

Would you care to join me at some point over the summer? As I said, I have a garden, but, I must confess, it is not quite as nice as I would like it to be. Perhaps you would care to share with me some of your wonderful knowledge? I am also looking to get a few new plants – perhaps you could advise me in that area, as well?

I would love the chance to get expert advice, especially if it came from you. You have such a way with plants – I could never compare, nor would I try.

Will you give me the pleasure of your company at some point this summer, Pomona? I would very much like it if you were to accept, however, well do I know the time constraints placed upon us. If you have other commitments, please do not hesitate to tell me so.

I would very much like it if you would grace me with your presence.

PS- Miss Gladstone is fine; she is still having some problems with her memory, but it is clearing up nicely.

PPS- I very much enjoyed our walk earlier.

Minerva,

Dear lord.

I've just been to see Miss Gladstone, a third year in my House.

It appears that she attempted to 'enhance' her mind, in order to do well on her exams-- she has managed to temporarily remove many of her basic memories.

She will be fine, eventually, but will not be able to complete her exams this week-- I'll arange a meeting with Albus later to talk about it.

Such a promising student, too.

I can't believe we lost the match.

We were playing so well, and... Blast that Potter.

We haven't won the Cup in years, you know.

I wish that I hadn't taken the antidote last week, as I would have loved to go flying right now.

- F

PS- I enjoyed your company very much at the match. Thank you. You made the fact that we lost bearable. Well, a little, anyway.

Dear Miss Fawcett:

I think that would be a lovely idea. Though, I seem to remember you taking her for a walk through the corridors the last time you apprroached me.

Please do be sure that you aren't being too repetitive.

Good day, and try not to have too much fun!

Would you like to go flying with me? Tomorrow?

I was wondering if you would like to change our walks around the grounds to a fly around the grounds? I haven't been flying for quite some time now, and I would relish the chance to be able to do it again.

Is tomorrow morning alright? We could go for breakfast in Hogsmeade, as well, if you were up for it. We could be back at the castle by 8 if we went early enough.

Let me know?

PS- We could even race!

I've just recieved a rather... interesting package. Would any of you happen to know anything about this? I'd gladly trade the information for a trip to the Three Broomsticks, or for some caramel biscuits.

PS- Thank you, by the way. Quidditch banners have always been a favourite hobby of mine! ... How did you know--

Bill,

Here are your answers-- though I doubt they will be of much help.

Precisely how much punch did you drink? Well. Let's see... one with Albus, one with Minerva, two with Pomona... I feel there were more, but I can't seem to recall them.

Precisely how old were you at 6:00pm yesterday evening? I was a sprightly 78, though I didn't precisely look it.

What did you ingest in the 24 hours prior to the party (including all herbs used in the preparations thereof)? I believe I ate dinner, breakfast, lunch, and whatever was at the party. You would have to ask the house elves, as they would have prepared it. I'm afraid I don't actively keep track of what I eat!

Precisely what age do you think you are now? 17 or 18. The hormones are horrendous. How did I ever deal with this before?

I'm sorry if this is not particularily helpful. Tell Severus that if he desperately requires it, I can attempt to recall what I ate.

Pomona,

Yes, I too am young again. I seem to be around 17 years old, and I must say, I did not miss the hormones that accompany teenage adolescents! I have a renewed sympathy for my male students, once again. That they manage to get any work done at all is astounding!

I will be in my rooms for the rest of the day, attempting to find some way to get rid of these effects, even though being young again is--.

I would of course enjoy your company. Come whenever you finish. I am feeling quite restless, so would you perhaps like to go for a walk later? That should burn off some energy I hope.

PS- Thank you for the daisies.

Minerva,

I--

Have you noticed anything odd this morning?

I really think that I must have had too much punch last night, as something very strange seems to have happened, and my head still hurts from last night, when--

Minerva, I think that something very wrong has happened. I— well, I seem to be… I seem to have…

Minerva, I now have the body of a 17 year old teenage boy.

I am understandably a trifle confused.

Have you… noticed anything different this morning about yourself?

PS- I don’t think I’ll be leaving my rooms for a bit.

I’m not the only one, am I?

You know I don't like to pry, at least not with regards to my close friends' personal lives, so I will content myself with asking if you are alright now. Or if you feel you will be.

And you also know that I don't like it when you are distraught. Perhaps you should speak to the ones involved? Though, gathering from what I saw last weekend, that may be slightly difficult--

Perhaps an evening in Hogsmeade would be beneficial? Rosemerta would be fine with a few drop ins, I'm sure. Just a suggestion.

And besides, they have those caramel coated biscuits you and I are so fond of!

- Filius

PS- If you would believe it, Michael Corner has just informed me that he has written a multi-chaptered textbook for his NEWT project-- singlehandedly. I suppose this is a perfect example of how we Ravenclaws sometimes take things too seriously!

Mister Malfoy,

Thank you for informing me of your plans. Your choice of activity sounds fine, as as walk in the foyer does not seem inherently dangerous. Although, with the two of you one can never be sure Though I must wonder at the value of such an activity, with regards to Miss Williams...

I hope that you enjoy you time with Miss Williams and Miss Fawcett.

Minerva,

I haven't asked before now, as it really is none of my business, but I have just overheard some of my second years debating some rumours concerning yourself. I have already told my students that, when discussing Staff members, they should stop their wagging tongues- for a House so renowned for its studiousness, some of the children tend to spend a lot more time gossiping than reading. Unfortunate though it is.

However, if you still do not wish to speak of it, then do not feel you have to.

- Filius

PS- I am only concerned for you, old friend, and would not wish to have the students chatting about your personal life, whatever that may be. Nothing else.

Minerva,

If nothing else, it would provide some entertainment. Yes, of course I will continue to monitor them- Malfoy and Fawcett must eventually learn to work with each other, and Malfoy himself must learn how to play nicely with others.

-F

PS- No. Minerva, do not even joke about such things. Don't you remember the last time we had a hat party? The drinks, the ice sculptures, the dancing hippopotamusus, the drinks? Where did we find those drinks, again?

PPS- Well. Perhaps.

Well.

I have just had a chat with our two young charges this evening, and it proved to be very interesting indeed.

Apparently, our two intelligent sixth years decided that it would be a good idea to take Miss Williams to the pitch for some flying time. They, of course, asked for permission first.

Then, once they were up in the air and saw that Miss Williams was performing admirably, one of them decided to take her off the pitch, against the wishes of the other one, of course. In the spirit of togetherness and unity, the one who had at first refused to leave the pitch decided to go with the other in order to help them, if the need arose. This was done, of course, with the utmost concern for the other’s wellbeing.

According to one student, the moment the two of them had looked away for one moment to speak of their NEWT projects, a burst of wind rose up, and poor Miss Williams was not able to keep hold of her broom, and fell into the lake. That same student said that they had gallantly tried to save her, risking their life in a series of death defying moves that, unfortunately, ultimately failed.

The reason that I cannot use any names in this letter is simply because what one told me, the other refuted. And vice versa.

From what I can gather, they did not intentionally mean for Miss Williams to come to harm. Instead, I think that they simply became engrossed in flying, as one is wont to do from time to time, and were distracted.

I have assigned Mister Malfoy detention with Hagrid, doing any tasks that he sees fit, though Hagrid did mention something about a Grindylow or two. I think there is a bit of a flu going on with them right now, but I could be wrong. For Miss Fawcett, I have assigned her detention with Argus. I am sure that he has something for her to do. Both punishments will take place this Friday and Saturday, and next Friday and Saturday as well.

Minerva, if you have any more punishments that you wish to assign, as the project’s head coordinator, please do so.

Pomona, I do hope that Miss Williams will be fine.

I am going to go have some tea, now. Good night.

Minerva,

I have spoken to Pomona and she informed me of Miss Williams' condition. It seems that she will be fine, given time. She is just in a lot of shock. Poor girl. Falling into the lake, and meeting the Squid in person, will do that. As I well remember...

I will be in my office momentarily.

On another note, how many times has Mister Malfoy been sent to see a professor this year? It seems to have been quite a lot. Perhaps we should be worried?

Pomona,

How dreadful! Is Miss Williams all right? I did indeed hear from Minerva, and I was just about to return to my office to meet my two young delinquents when your note found me.

I will of course be speaking to Mister Malfoy and Miss Fawcett about the matter. I rather though better of Fawcett, she seems such a bright young mind. However, I will hold off judgement until I see the two of them. Would you like to be informed of their punishments (if any)?

Please do keep me posted on Miss Williams' condition- she is such a pleasure to have in class, I would hate for anything horrible to happen to her!
